R-Silicium

Silicium is the second most abundant element on Earth, making up around 27% of the planet’s crust. While it is a key component of rocks and minerals, it also plays an essential role as a nutrient for both humans and animals.

Two of the main benefits of silicium relate to skin condition and bone health. Looking more closely at bone health, silicium is crucial for the production of collagen. It serves a dual purpose by helping maintain the structure of connective tissue fibres while also encouraging cell renewal and the formation of new connective tissue. This makes it particularly important for bones, tendons, cartilage, ligaments, and overall connective tissue support.

Why is this so important? Both animals and humans are born with naturally high levels of silicium, but these levels gradually decline with age. This reduction is one reason why older horses are more prone to conditions such as osteoarthritis. Supporting silicium levels can therefore be beneficial, which is where R-Silicium comes in.

What sets R-Silicium apart from other products on the market? Many supplements use mineral-based silicium, of which only around 0–1% is absorbed by the body. R-Silicium, however, is a bio-activated monomer that has been stabilised through a patented process. This allows for a significantly higher absorption rate of approximately 21–47%, making it one of the most effective forms currently available.
